Fantastic opportunity to join a leading events company as Team Manager for their sourcing team!
The company has an established client base and vibrant UK wide team, working with clients in a wide range of sectors offering full event planning from concept to completion. Their venue sourcing teams service small to large scale complex venue and accommodation bookings for events across the globe, with dedicated and long standing client and venue partnerships.
The role is a management position where you will report to the Operations Director to oversee the day to day running of this busy venue sourcing team. You will ensure that processes, SLAs and timeframes for each client are met and will take any initial sourcing enquiries for new stakeholders. Ensuring efficiencies as well as smooth service and keeping the team abreast of venue knowledge and new openings is key. You will also attend client review meetings to ensure client retention and that commission margins are met for the team. In addition to managing the team, you will be hands on with new and larger scale enquiries, delivering venue options and proposals accordingly.
About you: We are seeking a strong candidate with ideally a venue finding or event management background, possessing a good knowledge of the venue sourcing process and experience working with strict processes for different clients. Line management and supervisory experience is essential, as is a good network and knowledge of suppliers and venues/destinations worldwide.
