Our client is a creative events production agency working mainly with events agencies; they deliver high spec live and virtual events including festivals, conferences, awards and activations. Due to rapid expansion and a brilliant reputation, they are now growing their project management team with multiple roles including Technical Manager, Project Manager and Senior Project Manager.
The role involves working closely with the Project Managers and agency partners, as well as directly with clients, to be the technical specialist for all audio visual and tech production elements to each event. As a Technical Manager, your role will include:
- Putting together quotations for technical and production
- Drawing technical venue CAD plans in Vectorworks
- Working closely with Project Managers to ensure the events run smoothly
- Managing events on site from build to de-rig
- Working with event budgets and maximising the creative output for each client
- Ensuring you are fully up to date with the company's stock list and hire equipment
About you: This role will suit a Senior AV Tech or technical specialist with a strong understanding of the technical requirements of the event industry, as well as event technology including brands such as d&b, Analog Way, Robe, Chamsys and Avolites. Your knowledge of video, audio, lighting and rigging is extensive and you have proven experience working with bands and touring artists, with the ability to specify and recommend microphones, PA systems and consoles. A good understanding of CAD and Vectorworks is ideal.
