Job Title: Senior Process Development Technologist
Location: Leicester, UK
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-17:00
Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Process Development Technologist to manage customer critical paths from concept to launch, ensuring smooth project delivery in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role involves leading process improvement initiatives, coaching technologists, and supporting key projects while maintaining high technical standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer critical paths in line with internal launch processes.
- Own customer visits and projects from concept to launch.
- Oversee product trials, including sample testing and documentation management.
- Lead post-trial meetings and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
- Build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to drive process improvements.
- Deputize for the Process Development Manager as required.
- Coach and develop technologists, ensuring alignment with company values.
- Maintain high quality standards, supporting HACCP processes and allergen controls.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong experience in food manufacturing, ideally within chilled foods.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a small team.
- Excellent communication skills with internal teams and external customers.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of HACCP and allergen management.
- HND/BSc in Food Science or related field (desirable).
- Minimum of 12 months experience in a process or NPD function within food manufacturing.
- Driving license required
