We are recruiting for an up & coming high-energy Foodservice & B2B Business Manager to support and implement our strategic growth plans across our key sales channels. Working with major wholesalers, end-operators and solutions developers, you will be responsible for the management of existing business and for winning new business!

As well as full P&L ownership, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the future channel agenda by securing strategic new business, supported by the Category and the Marketing & Innovation teams. You will be fearless in the pursuit of results, comfortable in collaboratively challenging mindsets and centred on collective team success.

Essential Duties

  • Break down doors and drive customer relationships in your customers.
  • Engage buyers, category managers and sales teams to open dialogue on mutual opportunities.
  • Build compelling business plans with existing customers to ensure that our combined proposition adds mutual value.
  • Work with the Category team to build actionable, robust and insight-led plans.
  • Manage customer investment, sharing ROI insight with Marketing, Category & Finance.
  • Launch innovation with excellence, supported by customer specific activation.
  • Negotiate hard and maintain a "conditional investment" mindset at all times… whilst remaining collaborative.
  • Leverage insights to influence customers for results that are beneficial for all stakeholders.
  • Own P&Ls, ensuring the right levers are pulled to deliver budgeted top & bottom line.
  • Manage account administration in a full & timely manner for month end / year end.
  • Complete accurate and timely forecasts using a variety of data.
  • Document trade promotion activity and customer investment to ensure right governance.
  • Work with the Operations team to ensure thorough forecast accuracy as part of S&OP.
  • Guide, lead and advise the wider business on all aspects of your accounts.
  • Manage all customer daily activities to ensure consistent operational execution.

Experience And Professional Qualifications Required

  • Proven track record and experience of developing foodservice and B2B accounts and relationships.
  • Experience of developing new accounts from initial contact to successful launch.
  • Commercially focused with an aptitude and thirst for delivery.
  • Experience of identifying growth opportunities and landing the deal - solution selling.
  • Leveraging of insights to drive customer plans that developed their categories.
  • Able to construct and deliver data-led and category-based arguments.
  • Track record of meeting / exceeding objectives.
  • Great interpersonal skills and ability to develop long term and trusted relationships.
  • Analytical - able to spot gaps.
  • Freely able to switch from hunter to farmer and understand & deploy the "push / pull" model.
  • Positive and optimistic outlook.
