Our client are a well invested, profitable business, operating within the chilled food manufacturing sector. You will report into a Sales Director and have day to day management of key customer relationships – one of the major retailers
The role with involve amongst other aspects :-
Managing & building on their largest customer. Working cross functionally both internally and externally you will drive a strong growth agenda within your business unit that will play a significant part in maximising EBIT performance of the UK business as whole. Within this, the Core Elements will be:
- Development of a Commercial Strategy which takes the business further
- Define the growth categories and consumer need states and energise the origination and delivery of innovation which maximise growth opportunities
- Monitoring sales performance to budget & forecast
- Working closely with the wider management team to deliver a complete service package to our customers
- Day to day management of a Commercial Manager
Work Experience
At least 5 years’ experience in a Commercial or sales role within the food industry
Good multiple retailer exposure gained within a chilled FMCG environment. Knowledge of Tesco helpful, but not essential
Knowledge
Sound understanding of the sales cycle within the chilled food industry, with the appropriate knowledge to instil confidence in your ability to meet the customers’ needs
Excellent knowledge of sales, cash and percentage margins, and how to effectively cost new products
Working understanding of internal retailer dynamics, including the ability to drive results in a dual supply situation
Job Skills
Have excellent communication skills and be a natural influencer
The ability to create a persuasive business case
Strategy – the ability to build and execute a plan for growth.
Have a flair for building & maintaining relationships at all levels, both internally & externally
Can prioritise and proactively manage multiple tasks whilst working to tight deadlines
