We are seeking an experienced Shift Manager to lead a fast-paced manufacturing operation within a high-risk, food production environment. This role is accountable for delivering daily operational performance, ensuring output, efficiency, food safety, quality and health & safety standards are consistently achieved in line with customer specifications and legislative requirements.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work cross-functionally with Planning, NPD, Technical, HR, Engineering, Hygiene and Health & Safety to ensure production plans are delivered safely, efficiently and right first time.

Key Performance Measures

About You

You will be a strong operational leader with proven experience managing food manufacturing teams.

Essential:

  • Experience leading teams within a food production environment
  • Demonstrable delivery of KPI performance in manufacturing
  • Strong leadership and man-management capability
  • Sound understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety legislation
  • HACCP Certification
  • Food Safety Level 3
  • IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
  • Experience conducting investigations and risk assessments

Desirable:

  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in Food Technology or related field
  • CI and efficiency improvement experience
  • Formal management qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)

Monday to Friday role - flexible working hours may be required in line with business volumes, including occasional weekend cover.
