Are you an organised, detail-oriented individual with a passion for planning and production efficiency? We are seeking a proactive Production Planner to join the team in the Leeds area (LS22), playing a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of production processes.
About the Role:
As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimising processing and packing plans to ensure that all production runs efficiently and meet demand. You will manage packaging material availability, forecast requirements, and liaise with suppliers to guarantee timely deliveries. This role is vital to ensuring on-time production and minimising operational disruptions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate weekly production summaries and staffing plans.
- Create and update processing and packing schedules.
- Ensure material availability (e.g., drums, lids) aligns with production schedules.
- Monitor and manage packaging stock levels, minimising waste and call-offs.
- Submit accurate packaging call-offs in line with supplier requirements.
- Maintain accurate purchase orders (POs) with correct quantities and delivery information.
- Provide timely handovers to the operations team, highlighting key actions and updates.
- Support food safety, quality, and legal standards across all planning activities.
