Calling Product Developers who want more than just recipe work. This is a role for someone who understands that NPD isn’t just about ideas — it’s about getting products to land commercially, at pace, and under pressure. You’ll be working across multiple categories including ready-to-go, chilled and ambient ranges, developing products from concept through to launch. The environment is fast-moving, customer-led, and expects you to balance creativity with technical delivery.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning NPD projects end-to-end from concept through factory trials to launch
- Working closely with retail customers and internal stakeholders to align on briefs and timelines
- Translating food trends into commercially viable products
- Managing trials, taste panels, and product iterations
- Ensuring compliance across labelling, specifications, and retailer standards
- Collaborating with technical, operations, and commercial teams to deliver right-first-time launches
What matters in this role:
- Experience in food product development within a food manufacturing environment
- Exposure to retail-facing NPD (major UK retailers preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Strong understanding of factory processes, trials, and scale-up challenges
- Comfortable operating between kitchen, factory, and customer conversations
Why this role:
This is a business where NPD sits close to the commercial engine. Your decisions will directly impact what gets listed, how it performs, and how quickly the business can respond to demand. If you’re used to developing products but want more ownership, visibility, and pace — this is where that step happens.
