We are recruiting on behalf of a UK-based FMCG manufacturing group for a Group Demand Planner to join a growing Supply Chain function. The organisation operates at scale across multiple sites and supplies major retail, foodservice, and branded customers nationwide. This is a period of significant investment and transformation across planning, systems, and ways of working. The Group Demand Planner will play a critical role in strengthening demand planning capability, supporting cross-functional alignment, and enabling long-term, sustainable growth.

The Role

As Group Demand Planner, you will take ownership of demand forecasting across the business, acting as the central point of coordination for forecast accuracy, assumptions, and alignment. You will work closely with commercial, operational, and supply chain stakeholders to deliver a single, robust demand plan that supports service, efficiency, and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the end-to-end demand forecasting process at group level
  • Develop and maintain statistical forecasts across customers, categories, and products
  • Analyse historical sales data, trends, and demand drivers to improve forecast accuracy and bias
  • Integrate promotional activity, seasonality, NPD, and market intelligence into demand plans
  • Lead the monthly demand review cycle within the S&OP / IBP framework
  • Act as the key forecasting interface between commercial, operations, and supply chain teams
  • Utilise demand planning and IBP systems to ensure data integrity and continuous improvement
  • Proactively identify demand risks, opportunities, and process improvements across the Group

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in demand planning, ideally within FMCG or a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical capability with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience working with forecasting tools and/or demand planning / IBP software
  • Ability to manage complexity, ambiguity, and shifting priorities
  • Confident communicator able to translate complex data into clear, actionable insight
  • Proactive, improvement-driven mindset with a collaborative working style
