Are you an experienced Hygiene Manager ready to lead a team and deliver exceptional standards in a food manufacturing environment? We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hygiene Manager to oversee our site hygiene operations. Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing and managing a team of 8 Hygiene Operatives, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of environmental and equipment hygiene. You will also drive compliance with internal and external expectations, champion best practices, and foster continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and management for the site hygiene team, ensuring a safe and hygienic working environment.
- Oversee hygiene, waste, and pest control systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and stakeholder requirements.
- Develop and manage budgets for labour and consumables, collaborating with service providers and internal teams.
- Support 3rd-party and customer audits by presenting data and conducting equipment inspections.
- Investigate hygiene-related non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
- Deliver on-the-job hygiene training and perform regular competency reviews for the team.
Skills and Competencies Required:
- Competencies:
- 5+ years of Hygiene Management experience.
- 5+ years in food manufacturing.
- Level 3 Food Safety and Level 3 HACCP certifications.
