This is a high-impact commercial finance role within a fast-paced, operationally led FMCG food manufacturing environment. The position sits at the heart of the business, partnering closely with operations, sales and senior leadership to drive performance, margins and informed decision-making. You’ll play a key role in translating financial data into clear commercial insight, supporting both short-term performance and longer-term strategic goals. This is not a purely technical accounting role — it’s about influence, visibility and adding value.

You’ll act as a trusted finance business partner, providing high-quality analysis and insight across manufacturing, supply chain and commercial functions. Responsibilities will include supporting month-end close, forecasting and budgeting, alongside deep-dive analysis into costs, margins, efficiencies and performance drivers.

You’ll work closely with non-finance stakeholders, helping them understand the numbers behind the decisions and modelling the financial impact of operational and commercial initiatives. Costings, variance analysis, performance tracking and scenario modelling will form a core part of the role, with opportunities to shape processes and improve reporting.

This role would suit a commercially minded qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent), or someone close to qualification, who enjoys being close to the business rather than sat behind the numbers. You’ll be confident working in a manufacturing or FMCG environment and comfortable engaging with operational and senior stakeholders.

You’ll bring strong analytical skills, sound management accounting experience and the ability to challenge constructively. Just as important is your communication style — you’ll be able to explain complex financial information in a clear, practical way that supports better decisions.

  • A genuinely commercial, business-partnering role
  • Opportunity to influence performance rather than just report on it
  • Competitive salary and strong long-term development potential
