We’re looking for a proactive and driven Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our engineering team in Grantham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a wide range of modern equipment in a dynamic FMCG environment, where you’ll play a key role in maximising plant performance, reducing downtime, and driving continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Responding quickly to breakdowns and carrying out effective fault finding
  • Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across site equipment
  • Supporting production during start-ups and ensuring smooth operational performance
  • Working across both electrical and mechanical systems including PLCs, hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Using CMMS/Holistech to manage maintenance activity and parts usage
  • Driving continuous improvement and helping reduce downtime and costs
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to food manufacturing standards

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be a motivated team player with strong engineering experience and a passion for problem solving. Ideally you will have:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Engineering
  • Time-served apprenticeship
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Experience within FMCG or food manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs and inverters
  • A proactive mindset and strong communication skills
  • A strong commitment to health & safety

Desirable Extras

  • 18th Edition
  • HNC or equivalent
  • Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma knowledge
  • PLC programming experience
  • IOSH / NEBOSH
  • Experience with TPM or Asset Care programmes
