The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

This role is a key member of the site’s leadership team and is responsible for all areas of finance on site including managing and developing the finance team, reporting and understanding accurate accounts and working closely with the operations and commercial teams to influence and drive a profitable business in a food manufacturing business.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage and develop the onsite finance team
  • Own all aspects of site financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, completed to a high standard and within the required timeframe
  • Ensure accurate production of weekly and monthly P&Ls, with commentary and insights
  • Complete variance analysis of site operational and commercial performance against benchmarks including budget and prior year, with understanding of key drivers
  • Have ownership of the site’s balance sheet including completing monthly reconciliations and ensuring the safeguarding of the company’s assets
  • Work with the central audit teams to ensure the site’s compliance with, and integrity of, SOx requirements and internal finance controls
  • Complete, submit, understand, and act upon daily and weekly KPIs for the site
  • Support and challenge spend control on site including labour and overheads
  • Be a business partner to the site’s commercial team: delivering accurate costings, driving inflation recovery and maintaining pricing models
  • Lead the site team in completing periodic budget and forecast reports with clear assumptions and ambitious targets
  • Support cost centre owners and key stakeholders from across the site ensuring they understand the financial information and how they can influence profitability
  • Understand, and where possible improve, system usage including Arolink and SAP
  • Manage the site’s CapEx including signing off the financials on new requests, supporting with cashflow forecasts and conducting post completion audits.
  • Drive a culture to ‘Be the Best’: actively seek out and address opportunities for improvement across the site including health and safety improvements, technical improvements, cost reductions or margin enhancements

Skills & Knowledge

Essential:

  • Motivated to ‘Be the Best’
  • Experience in a site-based food manufacturing financial role
  • Self-driven with a proactive, energetic approach and the ability to deliver change
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent people skills with flexible interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the business
  • Team player with experience in managing teams
  • Be able to demonstrate extensive experience in commercial and operational finance
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with Microsoft PowerPoint

Desirable:

  • Strong experience and understanding of SAP
