Role ofthe Housekeeping Manager in conjunction with the Head of Housekeeper(s):
- Facilitating the smooth running of theHousekeeping Department.
- Responsible for managing the team ofhousekeepers / room attendants to ensure high levels of cleanliness aremaintained at all times.
- Managing inventories and liaising withsuppliers to ensure stock levels are maintained including laundry, cleaningmaterials and guest supplies.
- Managing stock taking, budgeting andother relevant paperwork such as maintenance reports and safety audits.
- Preparing rotas and co-ordinate stafflevels in the department according to business needs.
- Maintain the laundry room ensuring aclean and tidy environment.
- Ensure that all hotel standards are metin terms of with quality, cleanliness, health and safety and business needs.
Experience/ Skills of the Housekeeping Manager:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience inhousekeeping management or supervisory for a similar quality establishment roleis required.
- Proven people management experience,including managing performance, training and development.
- Good interpersonal and leadership skillsincluding communication and team building.
- Experience of working with multipledepartments to achieve results.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Basic computer literacy is helpful, or awillingness to learn, including the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel andhospitality software.
- An awareness of Health and Safetyregulations and the ability to ensure compliance within the team.
- Strong team working ethic with thecapability to take responsibility for the team.
- Works well under pressure.
WorkingHours:
Full-time40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 (including weekends) approximately07:00am to 15:00pm.
