Overview
Role overview: Subway Sandwich Artist, Winthorpe Avenue – Food to go team member/subway sandwich artist. The job runs alongside the Subway to assist in busy periods. 16 hours per week. Must be 18+. Sun–Sat 6:30am–8:30pm. Various shifts. Temp seasonal 16 hours contract. More hours to cover holidays and seasonal pick-ups.
Responsibilities
- Preparing of all sandwich ingredients, including baking cookies/bread, washing, cutting, slicing, chopping and grating ingredients, in accordance with established guidelines.
- Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and explain options to customers accurately.
- Neatly prepare sandwiches according to customer orders.
- Restock sandwich ingredients to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift.
- Use the till to record orders, take payments and give correct change where necessary.
- Understand and adhere to all Subway, SPAR and company operating processes, policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all food handling, safety, and sanitation standards when storing/preparing/serving food and cleaning the department.
Key Skills/Knowledge
- Previous experience in a similar role and/or industry is preferred.
- Some understanding of health and food safety legislative responsibilities in a food environment.
- Ability to contribute ideas for delivering exceptional customer service and driving the business at SPAR.
- Keen and enthusiastic approach to working both in a team and independently.
