Role Overview: Duty Manager (SPAR) – Brunswick Road (18+)
Salary: £13.25 per hour (depending on age)
Hours: 24 hours per week, with potential for additional hours based on business needs.
Reports to the Store Manager. The Duty Manager will help drive growth within the Brunswick Road SPAR store and support the Store Manager in leading a motivated team. Responsibilities include ensuring excellent customer service, contributing to store sales and profitability, and upholding the brand's standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager to ensure a safe, legal and high‐performing store, taking overall responsibility for the store during Duty Manager shifts.
- Assist in delivering all store operations, objectives and KPIs.
- Manage, coach and support colleagues, fostering a motivated and empowered team through a positive, engaging management style.
- Carry out performance management and absence management as appropriate.
- Handle opening/closing duties, colleague safety and stock/cash security during shifts.
- Perform cash reconciliations, voids, refunds and other till management tasks.
- Act as a role model, leading the team to provide an exceptional customer experience.
- Promote the store and engage with the local community in Brunswick Road.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and processes.
