Overview
Customer Team Member (18+) Bentley — 16 hours per week. Various shifts available including evenings, overnight and weekends. Weekend shifts are essential. This is an exciting opportunity for a SPAR Customer Team Member at Blakemore Trade Partners.
As a Customer Team Member you will support the store management team and help create a positive customer experience. You will assist in maximising sales and profit by carrying out assigned tasks to contribute to the store\’s continuous improvement, delivering great customer service through core practices.
Key Tasks / Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greeting customers in a friendly and welcoming manner; answering inquiries about products and services and helping customers find items; processing purchases efficiently and accurately at the tills; maintaining a positive and friendly service; upselling selected products and highlighting multi-buy offers to maximise sales.
- Store Operations: Managing stock, checking deliveries, stocking shelves, keeping the sales floor clean and organized, rotating stock to ensure freshness and valid expiration dates; completing additional tasks such as date checking, stock and gap checking, price changes, promotional displays and other responsibilities as required; adhering to company policies and procedures.
Key Skills / Knowledge
- Previous experience in a similar role and/or industry is preferred
- Reliably follows instructions and procedures with excellent attention to detail
- Some understanding of legislative responsibilities of a retail environment and the ability to assist with adherence
- Ability to contribute ideas for delivering exceptional customer service and driving the business forward
- Experience of using a ‘Challenge 25’ policy is desirable
- Keen and enthusiastic approach to working both in a team and independently
- Previous cash handling experience is preferred but not essential
