We are currently working with a well-established, client-focused financial planning firm based in Hertford to recruit an experienced Paraplanner to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and ethically driven individual who is looking to play a key role in supporting advisers within a collaborative and professional environment.

The Role

As a Paraplanner, you will work closely with the firm's advisers, providing comprehensive technical support across a broad range of financial planning areas. Responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting detailed research to support client recommendations
  • Performing tax calculations across various planning scenarios
  • Preparing high-quality, fully compliant suitability reports (beyond standard cases such as Bed & ISA and fund switches)
  • Supporting advisers across pensions, investments, and inheritance tax planning
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of client strategies

This role requires someone who can work independently while also being an integral part of a close-knit team.

About You

  • Level 4 Diploma qualified (essential)
  • Proven experience in a paraplanning role within financial services
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and tax planning
  • High ethical standards and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
  • Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills

Technical skills

  • Proficient in Intelligent Office (essential)
  • Experienced with FE Analytics (essential)
  • Familiarity with Genovo (preferred)

Salary & Benefits

  • Basic salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience)
  • Christmas bonus
  • Tax-free bonuses up to £3,600 per annum via Employee Ownership Trust
