From day one, you will inherit a recurring revenue portfolio worth approximately £100,000 per annum, providing an excellent platform from which to develop client relationships and grow your business. In addition, a further tranche of clients worth around £150,000 per annum is expected to transfer during the following year.
The Role
- You will be responsible for managing and developing an existing portfolio of private clients, providing ongoing financial planning advice and delivering a high standard of service.
- Responsibilities will include:
- Managing and developing relationships with existing clients.
- Conducting client reviews and identifying planning opportunities.
- Delivering holistic financial planning advice.
- Working collaboratively with paraplanners and support staff.
- Maintaining compliance and professional standards.
- Supporting business development initiatives and professional networking activities.
- Contributing to the continued growth of the advisory business.
About You
Some financial planning experience is essential, but attitude, potential and a strong technical foundation are equally important. You will ideally have:
- Experience within financial planning, wealth management or private client advice.
- Good overall knowledge of pensions, investments and personal taxation.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- A client-focused and professional approach.
- Commercial awareness and the ambition to develop a successful advisory career.
- The ability to work independently while remaining a collaborative team player.
- Progress towards Chartered status or a relevant professional qualification would be advantageous.
Business Development Expectations
Alongside servicing and developing your existing client portfolio, there is an expectation to generate new business equivalent to approximately 20% of your recurring client revenue.
