Blakedown Landscapes is an award-winning landscaping and civil engineering specialist delivering high quality projects throughout the UK. Our portfolio spans all sectors from local authorities, royal parks, commercial developers, schools and universities to high-end luxury developers.
We are looking for a talented and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the Company Directors, this is a hybrid role with a balance of time spent at our Chobham office, on site, and working from home. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within an established, reputable landscaping contractor delivering high-quality commercial and public-realm projects.
The Role:
- Take full ownership of the contractual and commercial aspects across multiple live projects.
- Provide commercial support to the operations team throughout all project stages.
- Manage change control, including variations and add/omit schedules.
- Prepare, negotiate, and agree final accounts with clients.
- Ensure timely payment in line with applications, resolving any queries efficiently.
- Monitor project costs, implement cost-mitigation strategies, and maintain clear cost control.
- Attend pre-order and client meetings as required.
- Support project delivery teams to ensure budgets and profit margins are achieved.
- Accurately record and value variations for inclusion in monthly applications for payment.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Two years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role (landscaping or construction preferred).
- A relevant Diploma, Degree or Higher Education qualification is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
