Are you a legal secretary working within a Commercial Property department, are you seeking a new and interesting role in the centre of Bristol? Our client has a need for a legal secretary to join their Commercial Property team on a Full Time, Permanent basis. The partner, who this role will support, is deaf and so relies on his Secretary to assist him with paralegal duties as well as the traditional secretarial tasks. Working Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, this role has become available as his current secretary has secured a training contract and will be pursuing a legal career.
The main duties this role will cover include:
- Dealing with all telephone communication - taking notes and dealing with issues where possible.
- Relying that information back to the partner.
- Dealing with land registry applications.
- Producing letters and documents for clients.
- Management of documentation.
- Billing, opening files, money laundering compliance, archiving etc.
- Digital dictation.
- Arranging meetings with clients.
Candidates will have a background in property and either be a legal secretary or paralegal in a similar role. Excellent communication skills are a must. ILEX qualification would be very beneficial but not essential.
