We are looking for a confident RVN to join our team at Blaise Veterinary Referrals as a Diagnostic Imaging Nurse on a fixed-term contract basis. Blaise Veterinary Referrals is a large-scale, multi-disciplinary, specialist-led referral hospital which encompasses the culture and values we pride ourselves on at IVC Evidensia. Blaise has added to our extensive referral network, which now consists of over 100 referral sites across the UK & Ireland. In addition to our referral teams on site, the 24-hour hospital is home to our Vets Now at Blaise emergency service. How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Diagnostic Imaging Nurse, you’ll be fully involved in all aspects of imaging and patient care, supporting the management of complex cases within our Diagnostic Imaging referral service. You’ll work collaboratively with a broader multidisciplinary hospital team, contributing specialist nursing expertise to patient care, supporting clinical decision-making, and sharing knowledge with colleagues to continually improve standards within your discipline. This is a fixed-term contract position to cover maternity leave, and we will be happy to consider full time or part time applications from 23 to 40 hours per week. Shifts will fall between 08:00-19:00 on a rota basis.
General responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and assisting with imaging services across multiple modalities, including CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, radiography, and ultrasound.
- Assisting with preparation of patients for imaging procedures.
- Using advanced monitoring equipment and patient warming devices to ensure patient safety at all times.
- Assisting clinicians and imagers with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including contrast and interventional services.
- Supporting the maintenance of imaging equipment and upholding hospital policies on safety and quality assurance.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with our team of clinicians, nurses, and support staff, contributing to the highest standards of care for every patient.

You are an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse with a strong interest in Diagnostic Imaging and a passion for delivering excellent standards of nursing care. You’ll bring:
- Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
- Significant experience in clinical practice with nursing skills relevant to diagnostic imaging.
- Experience working with CT and/or MRI in a referral or advanced-care setting would be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, clinical governance, and continuous improvement.
