Blair West are supporting LSL Property Services to find a Group Financial Accountant. This role sits within the Group Finance function, reporting directly into the Group Head of Reporting. This position plays a key role in ensuring robust financial reporting and technical accounting across the Group. This is an established position with high visibility across senior stakeholders, including the Group CFO and Financial Controller.
The opportunity:
- Support the preparation of Group interim and full year financial statements.
- Provide guidance and oversight throughout the statutory accounts process across Group and subsidiary entities.
- Act as a technical accounting expert, advising finance teams across the business.
- Maintain and review Group accounting policies and ensure consistent application.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and FRS 101 reporting standards.
- Act as a key contact for external auditors across year-end, interim, and statutory audits.
- Provide second line oversight of internal controls and the risk framework.
- Collaborate with the Internal Risk and Audit team to strengthen governance.
- Support ad hoc projects including acquisitions, due diligence, and technical accounting matters.
- Drive continuous improvement across reporting processes, systems, and outputs.
You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability to apply it in a commercial environment.
- Experience supporting statutory reporting and audit processes within a Group structure.
- A proven ability to interpret and apply IFRS and FRS 101 standards.
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders across finance and the wider business.
- Strong project management capability with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive, self-starting mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- A high level of attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate outputs.
- The ability to build effective working relationships across finance teams.
