Blair West are supporting a PE-backed SaaS business operating in the SMB market, to find a Managing Director. The organisation delivers a multi-product operational platform with strong recurring revenues, an established international customer base, and clear growth ambitions. Following recent investment, the business is entering a critical scaling phase, and this role will sit at the heart of the leadership team, taking full responsibility for day-to-day performance and revenue growth as a newly defined leadership position.
The opportunity:
- Take full ownership of commercial, product, and operational performance, driving execution of an ambitious growth strategy.
- Translate board-level objectives into clear, measurable operational plans across the business.
- Lead and scale Sales and Marketing functions, with a focus on SMB acquisition, retention, and expansion.
- Drive ARR growth from c. £5–15M, supporting a defined path to a high-value exit within 2–3 years.
- Shape go-to-market strategies using customer data, market insights, and commercial analysis.
You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:
- A proven track record of scaling a SaaS business, ideally from c. £5M to £15M+ ARR.
- Strong commercial leadership experience across both Sales and Marketing functions.
- Experience operating in a PE-backed or investor-led environment, with exposure to board-level stakeholders.
- A hands-on leadership style with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational delivery.
- Experience leading or working closely with Product and Engineering teams in a growth environment.
- A data-driven approach to decision making, with strong financial and analytical capability.
- Experience driving international growth, particularly across UK, US, or APAC markets (desirable).
- A track record of building, structuring, and scaling high-performing teams.
