Blair West are supporting True Potential to find an M&A Business Partner. This role sits within the Business Unit Finance team as part of the wider centralised Group Finance function and will play a pivotal role in delivering the adviser recruitment M&A strategy. Working within a small, specialist team, this position leads the financial, analytical and governance elements of the deal lifecycle, providing insight to the BU Executive Committee, Board and Group CFO.
The opportunity:
- Lead the end-to-end financial workstream of adviser recruitment M&A activity, from initial screening through to transaction approval.
- Conduct detailed financial and operational due diligence on adviser client books, ensuring consistent and robust evaluation standards.
- Develop, refine and apply valuation methodologies aligned to Group Finance investment criteria.
- Build and maintain sophisticated financial models assessing cashflows, returns and sensitivities.
- Deliver data-led insight into revenue quality, client demographics, attrition trends and long-term value drivers.
- Drive automation and scalability across the due diligence and analytics process in partnership with data and technology teams.
- Support capital planning and capacity management, aligning deal pipeline with funding and cashflow considerations.
- Prepare high-quality reporting for the BU Executive Committee, Board and Group Finance, ensuring strong governance and control throughout the M&A process.
You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:
- A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or relevant corporate finance experience.
- Strong experience in M&A, transaction support, corporate finance or commercially focused finance roles.
- A proven track record in financial modelling, valuation and return analysis.
- Experience working with large, complex datasets to generate meaningful commercial insight.
- Exposure to operating within a matrix structure, partnering across Business Unit and central finance functions.
- The ability to confidently present complex financial analysis to Executive Committee and Board-level stakeholders.
- Ideally, experience within financial services, wealth management or client-book based business models.
- Experience improving or automating analytical and due diligence processes.
