Blair West is pleased to support our client, a large global corporate, with the search for a CFO for a significant business unit within the group, contributing to over 50% of the Division's total revenue. The business is seeking to appoint a CFO to play a key role in delivering a stretching growth plan, inclusive of strategic acquisitions.
As the Vice President and CFO for the Hospitality business area within the Global Solutions division of Assa Abloy, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing all financial aspects of the business, including M&A. Your mission will be to develop and implement strategic financial plans to drive the achievement of the company's overarching goals and objectives. This role will be significantly business-focused and strategic in nature, guiding the financial direction of the organisation.
The opportunity:
- Oversee compliance efforts within the business segment, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and standards.
- Provide strategic financial leadership by managing financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Be the financial representative to the Division and Group.
- Lead the financial aspects of mergers and acquisitions, overseeing due diligence, financial planning, scoping, closing, and integration.
- Perform in-depth analysis of liabilities and assets to effectively manage risks and optimise the working capital efficiency of the business.
- Advise on long-term business and financial planning, contributing to the development and execution of strategic initiatives, product launches, and new service offerings.
- Establish relationships with senior management to provide financial support to business-wide decision-making.
- Assess and evaluate the financial performance of the organization, offering insights and recommendations for both short-term and long-term growth plans.
- Work with the divisional IT and Finance Shared Service centres to contribute to the best possible systems environment.
- Lead, coach, and communicate with controllers at the regional and business unit levels, with matrix reporting responsibilities.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the finance and accounting teams.
Youβll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:
- A background in senior financial leader within large, international organisations.

- Experience in building a business-minded, high-performing team.
- Extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in financial modelling and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software.
- In-depth knowledge of financial accounting principles and reporting standards.
