Blair West are supporting our County Durham based client in their search for an HR Manager. This is a new role for a rapidly scaling business with an emphasis on recruitment. This is a role you can make your own and would suit someone who has previously worked in a stand-alone position and has experience of recruiting tradespeople. Ideally, this is a full-time role but for the right candidate, they can also look at part-time.

The opportunity:

  • Recruitment - Develop a recruitment strategy to support the business as it grows both in numbers and geographical locations.
  • Succession planning - Create a robust strategy that allows roles to be filled quickly with minimum disruption to the business.
  • Employee Lifecycle - Manage the entire journey from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between.
  • HR Strategy - Work with the owners to develop a HR strategy to create a happy and effective workforce, looking at benefits and culture.
  • Employee Relations - Manage all employee relations.
  • Administration - Manage all HR admin tasks, contracts and paperwork.
  • Leadership - Sit within the SLT, providing regular people updates.
  • Policy and procedures - Harmonise existing policies and procedures.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:

  • Previous experience in a stand-alone role.
  • Strong recruitment background with the understanding of how to deliver a quick response to recruitment requests.
  • Experience with succession planning and recruitment strategy.
  • Ability to build a HR function fit for a growing business.
