This is a new role, reporting directly into a highly impressive, new EMEA CFO, with the remit of strengthening analytical capability, improving financial insight, and creating stronger alignment between finance, commercial, and manufacturing operations.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of the FP&A function, with the opportunity to build and develop a team. Working closely with both commercial and manufacturing teams, the FP&A Manager will provide actionable financial insight, support business performance, and drive stronger operational decision-making across the organisation.
The ideal candidate will be a commercially minded finance professional with strong experience leading budgeting and forecasting processes within a multi-site environment, ideally with a background in consumer goods or chemicals.
The opportunity:
- Support month-end reporting activities, including sales flash reporting, preliminary results, and consolidated financial analysis across the UK business, with clear commentary on balance sheet, P&L, and margin performance.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes by preparing and consolidating financial plans, while providing insightful analysis and commentary on business performance and key financial drivers.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance financial planning models to improve understanding of profitability, cash flow, and key operational and commercial metrics across the business.
- Partner closely with sales and marketing teams to support revenue growth and margin expansion through forecasting, pricing analysis, and customer and product profitability insight.
- Provide financial analysis and decision support for commercial initiatives, including new product launches, strategic projects, and growth opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with manufacturing and operations teams to manage costs, productivity, and efficiency through robust forecasting, variance analysis, and performance tracking.
- Analyse manufacturing cost structures, inventory performance, and productivity initiatives, driving actions to achieve operational and budget targets.
- Deliver insightful reporting, KPIs, dashboards, and forward-looking analysis to respective leadership teams to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare monthly Board presentation materials, providing clear analysis of historical performance, future projections, and key market trends.
- Drive improvements in reporting systems and data integrity by supporting the rollout of standardised, system-driven reporting solutions, including acting as a Power BI super user.
- Supporting with adhoc strategic projects, including M&A activity.

- Strong analytical skills across financial and non-financial information and able to provide valuable insight.
- A track record in a fast paced, international environment with multi-site operations would be favourable.
- Strong financial modelling skills.
- A background from a relatable sector (chemicals / consumer goods / B2B or B2C) would be preferred but not a pre-requisite.
- Familiarity with mergers & acquisitions is a plus.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to proactively manage a varied workload.
- Hands-on (the role will evolve to a managerial remit in time, but will be stand-alone initially).
- Advanced user of IT systems & tools.
Benefits:
- Flexible, hybrid working arrangements.
- 25 days annual leave plus public holidays.
- Bonus scheme.
- Life assurance.
