Base pay range
Blair West is supporting a leading automotive manufacturer in the region as it looks to continue its growth plans with the acquisition of 2 qualified Financial Accountants, reporting into a Senior Finance Manager.
The opportunity:
- Accounting for entities the business has in Europe and the UK.
- Revenue accounting for the two UK manufacturing companies.
- P&L and BS reporting into the Group and externally.
- Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Preparing the statutory accounts.
- Supporting the External Audit.
- Budgeting and forecasting.
- Reviewing the SOX controls of the business, formalising and documenting accounting procedures and controls.
- Supporting the SOX internal audit.
- VAT returns.
- Cost analysis for the corporation tax computation.
- Completion of various Office for National Statistics (ONS) returns.
- Liaising with the Plant Finance team.
Requirements / Qualifications
- QBE or are a Qualified accountant.
- Experience of operating in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience of external and group reporting is essential.
- Excellent understanding of accounting fundamentals, and experience of maintaining financial controls.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving techniques.
- Experience of using SAP in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, and other PC applications.
