Blair West are supporting Emerald Financial Associates to find a Business Development Manager. Emerald Financial Associates operates within the financial services sector and is continuing to invest in adviser growth, client acquisition, and long-term commercial performance. This role will work closely with advisers and senior leadership to optimise lead generation activity, improve adviser performance, and ensure a sustainable pipeline of high-quality client opportunities. The position sits within a commercially focused function and will play a key role in supporting business growth and adviser retention.
- Support financial advisors in achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual performance targets through effective appointment generation activity.
- Develop and implement appointment generation strategies to improve lead quality, conversion rates, and overall ROI.
- Monitor adviser capacity, market focus, and performance metrics to align appointment flow effectively.
- Track and analyse lead source performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with advisers individually, adapting approaches to suit different working styles and commercial objectives.
- Identify underperforming activity and implement changes to improve efficiency and commercial return.
- Support wider brand-building and client acquisition initiatives, including social media and niche campaigns.
- Collaborate with leadership to contribute to a high-performance, accountable, and commercially focused culture.
Experience within financial services or a closely related professional services environment is required. A strong understanding of lead generation, client acquisition strategies, and appointment setting activity is essential. Experience working alongside financial advisers, sales professionals, or relationship-led commercial teams is necessary. Strong analytical skills with experience using data to influence decision-making and improve performance are important. Experience evaluating lead source effectiveness and improving conversion performance is also needed.
Performance-related bonus structure linked to adviser retention, appointment quality, ROI, and adviser performance. Uncapped performance bonus with realistic OTE of £55,000–£70,000 (top performers can earn bonuses of up to 100% of base salary).
