Blair West are supporting a scaling business with the appointment of a Group Financial Controller. The business is entering a new phase of growth, with a strong orderbook across international operations. The successful candidate will oversee a small team, ensuring accuracy and compliance across month/year-end reporting, whilst reporting to an experienced CFO.

The opportunity:

  • Control of month-end activities – including board reporting and analysis.
  • Review of divisional/group monthly management accounts.
  • Monitor cash flow & performance vs KPI / Budgets.
  • Lead & mentor the finance team of six.
  • Ownership of group audit and year end.
  • Automation of finance systems, controls and processes.
  • Develop internal controls and finance governance.
  • Provide support to the CFO on various ad-hoc projects & liaison with external stakeholders.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:

  • Suitable PQE experience (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Strong technical skills with experience from a group structure (preferable).
  • Strong analytical skills, able to manage/analyse complex financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Demonstrated previous experience operating at a Manager/Controller level in a growing SME.
  • Advanced systems/IT skills - Familiarity with Sage 50 would be preferred.
