An opportunity has arisen within the Environment & Regeneration directorate for a Catering Assistant to work under the supervision of the Cook and/or Assistant Cook to assist and carry out any instructions given in the preparation, cooking and serving of food, clearing away, washing up, cleaning processes or handling of cash.

You will be prepared to work additional hours or at any reasonable time of day as required in order to ensure the smooth running of the catering unit. The successful candidate will possess a current Food Safety Level II qualification and be willing to undertake any training considered necessary for the post. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. A comprehensive pre-employment screening process will be undertaken which will include an Enhanced Disclosure with Child Barred List.
