Lead a Service That Transforms Lives
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead Cwrt Mytton Care Home, a specialist dementia care service in Blaenau Gwent. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a centre of excellence for dementia care, ensuring compliance with the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016 and delivering high-quality, person-centred support.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the home meets regulatory standards and delivers safe, high-quality dementia care.
- Develop and implement policies, systems, and procedures to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead and inspire a dedicated team, overseeing recruitment, retention, training, and career development.
- Promote innovative dementia care models, including reablement pathways and assistive technologies to enhance independence.
- Manage operational practices, including staffing rotas, health and safety, infection control, and safeguarding.
- Monitor and control budgets and resources effectively.
- Build strong partnerships with health professionals, families, and the local community to support integrated care.
- Represent Cwrt Mytton in strategic planning and contribute to the wider Adult Services vision.
What We're Looking For
- NVQ/QCF Level 4 in Care or equivalent management qualification.
- Registration with Social Care Wales.
- Proven experience in managing a regulated health or social care setting, ideally dementia care.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable
- Experience of managing a dementia care home or similar specialist service.
- Knowledge of assistive technologies and innovative dementia care models.
- Welsh language skills (training available).

- Enhanced DBS required.
