Make a Difference for Families in Blaenau Gwent! Are you organised, approachable, and passionate about helping families access the support they need? We're looking for a Family Information Service Support Officer to join our team and play a vital role in the Family Help Hub.

Location: Blaina ICC and Flying Start Hubs

Hours: 37 per week

Grade: 4

DBS: Enhanced Disclosure with Child Barred List

What You'll Do:

  • Be a key point of contact for families and professionals, providing accurate information and guidance.
  • Maintain and update records on childcare, play, and family support services.
  • Gather and analyse information to support monitoring and evaluation of services.
  • Assist with consultations and contribute to the annual Childcare Sufficiency Assessment.
  • Represent the Family Help Hub at community events and outreach activities.
  • Work closely with partners to share information and promote best practice.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent organisational and record‑keeping skills.
  • Strong communication abilities – friendly and clear in person and in writing.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in customer service or working in a busy office environment.
  • Full driving licence and flexibility to attend events, including evenings and weekends.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of early years services and experience in gathering and presenting data.
