An opportunity has arisen within the Children, Young People & Families Directorate for a Technical Operational Supervisor within the Blaenau Gwent Catering Service. The position is part-time, 14.5 hours per week – Thursday and Friday only.
Responsibilities
- Provide efficient and cost-effective supervision of the Authority’s catering establishments cashless catering systems, auditing financial procedures, monitoring systems, school debt and stock levels.
- Provide technical operational support for the catering service.
- Provide relevant training on technical operational service needs.
- Be prepared to work additional hours or at any reasonable time of day as required to ensure the smooth running of the catering unit.
Qualifications
- GCSE grade C or above in Maths, English and ICT.
- Proven experience of managing data systems, Microsoft Word & Excel, monitoring of stock control and training on financial procedures.
- Previous experience of working with data systems.
