The Children, Young People and Families Directorate within Blaenau Gwent are looking to recruit 2 Cleaning Operatives on a permanent basis at Willowtown Primary for 12.5 hours per week, 41 weeks of the year, and Ebbw Fawr Primary for 9.72 hours per week, 41 weeks, to undertake cleaning duties in establishments within the borough.
Responsibilities
- Clean designated areas to a set standard using chemicals, equipment and machinery.
- Maintain cupboards, equipment and machinery by cleaning and ensuring correct storage after use.
- Place orders when replacement chemicals and equipment are required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and to use own initiative.
- Willingness to undertake any training considered necessary for the position.
- COSHH and basic Health and Safety knowledge is desirable.
Employment Conditions
- This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. A comprehensive pre-employment screening process will be undertaken which will include an Enhanced Disclosure with Child Barred List.
