Overview
The Children, young people and families Directorate within Blaenau Gwent are looking to recruit 3 x Cleaning Operatives on a permanent basis at Ysgol Gymraeg Tredegar Primary for 12 hours per week 41 weeks of the year to undertake cleaning duties in establishments within the borough.
Responsibilities
- The successful candidates will clean any designated area to a set standard by use of chemicals, equipment and machinery.
- The successful candidates will also maintain their cupboard, equipment and machinery by cleaning and ensuring correct storage after use.
- You will also place orders when replacement chemicals and equipment are required.
- The successful candidates should be able to work as part of a team, have the ability to use their own initiative and be willing to undertake any training considered necessary for the position.
Qualifications and Requirements
- COSHH and basic Health and Safety plus experience is desirable.
- This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. A comprehensive pre-employment screening process will be undertaken which will include an Enhanced Disclosure with Child Barred List.
