An educational facility is currently seeking a Multiskilled Engineer to join their estate department on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, maintaining and supporting the building services that keep the campus safe, compliant, and fully operational.
Job Duties:
- Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and ventilation systems.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs using technical expertise.
- Use Planon CAFM system and Building Management Systems to record and monitor work.
- Interpret building drawings and understand basic BMS/control systems.
- Collaborate with colleagues and assist contractors.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota.
- Support small projects and installations.
Job Requirements:
- Recognised qualifications or strong experience in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Joinery, or related trades.
- Experience in facilities management or maintenance environments.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently or in a team.
- Familiarity with CAFM systems and BMS - Desirable.
- Experience supervising contractors or supporting projects - Desirable.
- Experience working in educational, healthcare, or large-site environments - Desirable.
Job Location: The closest station will be Kingston Station KT1 1UJ.
Job Offer: Permanent £36,000 - £37,400 per annum. Benefits: 37 hours per week - Monday - Friday. On-call rota for out-of-hours support.
