An educational facility is currently seeking a Multiskilled Engineer to join their estate department on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, maintaining and supporting the building services that keep the campus safe, compliant, and fully operational. £36,000 - £37,400 per annum + excellent benefits + On Cal. 37 hours per week.
Job Duties
Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and ventilation systems
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs using technical expertise
Use Planon CAFM system and Building Management Systems to record and monitor work
Interpret building drawings and understand basic BMS/control systems
Collaborate with colleagues and assist contractors
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota
Support small projects and installations
Job Requirements
Recognised qualifications or strong experience in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Joinery, or related trades
Experience in facilities management or maintenance environments
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Good communication and customer service skills
Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently or in a team
Familiarity with CAFM systems and BMS - Desirable
Experience supervising contractors or supporting projects - Desirable
Experience working in educational, healthcare, or large-site environments - Desirable
