Overview
Blacon High School invites applications for Head Teacher\’s PA and Office Manager (JDQ – AAAE 5108). Grade 5 £24,727 – £26,772 (actual salary). 37 hours per week, 43 weeks per year to include school closure admin time. Immediate start available. Permanent post.
Governors and Senior Leaders are looking to appoint a PA to the Headteacher to play an integral role in the successful day-to-day running of this busy and dynamic school. This role provides specialist and complex administrative support and delivers high performing, flexible and effective customer and administrative services that meet the needs of the school.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist and complex administrative support to the Headteacher and contribute to the day-to-day running of the school.
- Handle highly sensitive, confidential and conflicting issues on a daily basis, dealing with staff, parents, students, governors and external bodies.
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain professionalism at all times.
The ideal candidate will
- Have experience within education in a similar capacity
- Have a flexible and adaptable approach
- Be able to communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels across the school and local community
- Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team, with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage a diverse workload effectively
The successful applicant will have experience in a similar role, ideally with previous office and/or school experience and be proficient in using software such as Microsoft packages, ParentPay and email systems. Experience of working in a school is not essential, but enthusiasm for working with young people is vital. You will need to demonstrate the highest standards of literacy, both verbal and written, and have the ability to work independently in a busy environment.
