About the role: We have an exciting opportunity for an Activities Co-Ordinator to work at our Broom Court Care Home in Stirling. This role is responsible for leading on the development of an activities programme for Blackwoods customers and you’ll work closely with our care management and volunteering teams to achieve this goal. Our purpose is to help people live independently, with innovative services and products which mean they can choose how they wish to live their life to the full, regardless of age and disability. We look for our Activities Co-ordinator to work collaboratively with customers and their families, ensuring all activities are person-centred, celebrate diversity and promote inclusion for all customers.

About You: We are looking for an individual with either experience or an aptitude as an Activities Coordinator. The successful candidate should be passionate about customer service and able to provide stimulation and social engagement through a wide range of varied and meaningful activities throughout the calendar year, making sure that these remain within the resources available. The candidate should be proactive about collaborative working with local partners that operate within our community, particularly with respect to fundraising activities, signposting and access to resources. If required, training can be sourced to support the development of this role. This role provides an excellent personal growth opportunity in the planning, co-ordinating and delivery of activities within a care home environment, with all delivered activities and events being safe, in line with customers needs and choices, and complementing our high-quality services.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead on the development of an activities programme for Blackwoods customers and work closely with care management and volunteering teams to achieve this goal.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Experience or aptitude as an Activities Coordinator; passion for customer service.
  • Ability to provide stimulation and social engagement through a wide range of meaningful activities within available resources.
  • Proactive collaboration with local partners for fundraising, signposting and resources access.
  • Willingness to undertake training to support role development.
  • Interest in planning, coordinating and delivering activities in a care home, ensuring safety and alignment with customer needs and choices.
