Blackwood is seeking a reliable and motivated Relief Kitchen / Relief House Domestic to support the smooth and efficient running of our kitchen and dining areas. In this role, you will assist the Cook with meal preparation, serve and support during meal times, and ensure all crockery, cutlery, utensils and equipment are thoroughly cleaned. You will maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen, storerooms and dining areas, while also ensuring supplies are prepared for breakfast and overnight meals.
Clean overalls must be worn at all times, and you will be expected to follow all Health and Safety policies, emergency procedures and the Code of Conduct outlined in Blackwoods Pay and Conditions of Service manual. You will also take part in staff meetings, training, supervision sessions and Blackwoods Quality Assurance system, contributing to continuous improvement within the service.
The role requires flexibility and a willingness to undertake any reasonable tasks requested by the management team.
