The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
As an experienced Site Engineer, you will take on key responsibilities from day one, leveraging your background in Civil Engineering to ensure our projects are executed to the highest standards. You will be a crucial part of our team, applying your skills and knowledge to a variety of tasks and helping us maintain our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Involvement:
- Site Surveys: Conduct GNSS surveys and set out for earthworks, including visualization stake-out using batter rails and travellers.
- 3D Machine Control: Review models to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Works Information: Analyse drawings and specifications, and collaborate with the Foreman to determine optimal construction methods.
- Documentation: Assist in writing key job documents such as Plans and RAMS to ensure safe, efficient, and proper construction.
- Quality Assurance: Plan, execute, and file QA processes in a timely manner, including ensuring ITPs and checklists are in place before work commences.
- Soil Quality Checks: Perform spot checks, including topsoil plasticity testing and microwave moisture content testing, as well as exploratory work to determine stabilization mixture percentages.
- Planning: Participate in near-term rolling-wave planning to support site management.
- Commercial Awareness: Identify events and communicate with the Commercial team.
- Verbal Instructions: Correctly receive and document verbal instructions, including sketching and recording details.
Qualifications:
- Eligible to join the ICE as a graduate grade member and commence progression to IEng status.
- Existing right to work in the UK.
- Relevant experience delivering at least three of the key deliverables within a Civil Engineering context (or similar).
- Full UK Driver’s Licence.
