Role Overview: Blackwell Earth Moving is seeking a dedicated Quality and Document Controller to manage and oversee all project documents for our Sizewell contract. This role ensures that all information exchanged with the contractor is formalized, properly stored, traceable, and accessible.
Key Responsibilities:
Document Management and Processes:
- Maintain document control systems within SharePoint and other contractually mandated systems.
- Ensure timely processing of project documents, both incoming and outgoing.
- Secure storage, traceability, and accessibility of all project documents.
- Maintain document and communication registers, ensuring data integrity across all platforms.
Compliance and Quality Checks:
- Conduct regular checks to ensure the project team uses approved and consistent documentation.
- Final review and approval of project documents sent to the customer.
- Oversee document revision control to ensure documents are current.
Systems Management and Development:
- Manage and maintain business systems for functionality, accessibility, and compliance.
- Assist in developing and maintaining SharePoint sites, process automations, workflows, and other processes to improve project efficiency.
- Utilize Power Automate for automating document workflows and approvals.
Additionally, you will collaborate with the Deputy Quality and Completions Manager on HS2 to support the development and maintenance of our business systems, working towards unifying our Quality processes across multiple contracts.
Key Competencies:
Essential:
- Proficiency in Microsoft software, including SharePoint, Power Automate, Power Platform, Visio, Excel, and Teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and initiative-driven.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Desirable:
- Experience in managing and developing systems.
- Experience in construction, civil engineering, or earthworks is advantageous but not required.
