Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Planning and Project Controls Engineer to support our operations at Sizewell C. This is a pivotal role within our business, combining operational and commercial responsibilities to ensure the successful delivery of our programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme Management: Develop and maintain the Accepted Programme in line with NEC contract requirements.
- Short-Term Planning: Deliver rolling 3-week look-ahead plans to support operational teams.
- Data Consistency: Ensure key dates and planning data are accurate and consistent across all systems.
- Reporting: Produce weekly progress reports, EOT assessments, and resource-loaded forecasts for cash flow and expenditure.
- Performance Monitoring: Lead initiatives to improve site productivity and provide time-related reporting for senior stakeholders.
- Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate submissions of programme information including Cl32 updates, CE assessments, and monthly reports.
Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of planning fundamentals
- Previous engineering/site experience (e.g., Site Engineer, Site Agent)
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
- Familiarity with NEC contract planning requirements
- Strong Earned Value Management (EVM) knowledge, ideally APM accredited
- Experience with project management software (P6 and/or Asta)
- A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and innovate
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree or higher qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Experience with Power BI dashboard creation and maintenance
- Knowledge of lean construction methods and last planner systems
