What You’ll Be Doing:
- Site Surveys: Conduct GNSS-based surveys and set out earthworks using batter rails, travellers, and visualisation stakeouts.
- 3D Machine Control: Review and validate models to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Works Information: Analyse drawings and specifications, collaborating with the Foreman to determine optimal construction methods.
- Documentation: Assist in preparing Plans and RAMS to ensure safe and efficient construction.
- Quality Assurance: Plan, execute, and file QA processes, including ITPs and checklists, before work begins.
- Soil Quality Checks: Perform spot tests including plasticity and moisture content, and support exploratory work for stabilisation mix design.
- Planning: Contribute to near-term rolling-wave planning to support site management.
- Commercial Awareness: Identify relevant events and communicate with the Commercial team.
- Verbal Instructions: Accurately receive and document verbal instructions, including sketches and supporting details.
What We’re Looking For:
- Eligible to join the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) as a graduate member and begin progression toward IEng status.
- Existing right to work in the UK.
- Proven experience delivering at least three of the key responsibilities listed above within a Civil Engineering context.
- Full UK Driver’s Licence.
