About the Role:

At Blackwell Earthmoving Limited, part of the Hargreaves Services Plc, we deliver large‑scale bulk earthworks, soil stabilisation, and land restoration with precision and expertise. We are a trusted partner on nationally significant projects including HS2, Sizewell C, and the Lower Thames Crossing, bringing unrivalled capability to complex infrastructure schemes. From highways and rail networks to renewable energy developments, our solutions combine engineering excellence with environmental responsibility, creating sustainable foundations for future growth.

We are seeking a Junior SharePoint Developer to join our team as the dedicated owner of our SharePoint environment. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll support day‑to‑day operations, respond to user needs, and deliver incremental enhancements that keep our systems running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone with some existing SharePoint or Microsoft 365 experience who wants to take the next step. We’re looking for someone who can contribute from day one, but who is also keen to learn, develop new skills, and grow with the company.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all SharePoint‑related queries across the business.
  • Maintain and administer the company’s SharePoint Online estate.
  • Deliver incremental improvements and small‑scale changes based on user and business needs.
  • Support site creation, content structuring, permissions, and general configuration.
  • Use Power Automate for creating or supporting automated workflows (highly desirable).
  • Assist in developing simple apps or enhancements using PowerApps (highly desirable).
  • Work with internal teams to gather requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
  • Produce user‑friendly documentation, guides, and basic training materials.
  • Ensure SharePoint best practice, security, organisation, and performance.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Some hands‑on experience with SharePoint Online.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, OneDrive, Power Automate, PowerApps).
  • Good understanding of SharePoint site structure, permissions, and content management concepts.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
  • Willingness to learn, develop, and progress within the role.

Brush Up on Your Technical Skills

For an IT consulting role, be ready to demonstrate your technical prowess. You might face questions on systems integration, cloud technologies, or even troubleshooting specific software.
