We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Foreman to oversee the day-to-day operations of our general earthworks activities. As Foreman, you will serve as the primary point of contact for managing people, equipment, and materials within a specific section of the project. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth execution of our earthworks projects, maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and quality.

  • Conduct daily visits to teams under your control to ensure compliance with H&S policies and procedures.
  • Provide direct supervision and demonstrate effective management techniques.
  • Collaborate with the Works Manager and Engineering team to develop and execute work plans.
  • Ensure construction methods are followed and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) are respected.
  • Oversee the daily ordering of materials needed for your section, including gas oil, water, AdBlue, imported stone, and geotextiles.
  • Ensure the quality and completeness of Daily Allocation Sheets and enforce the use of digital records where applicable.
  • Provide key feedback on the performance of team members.
  • Offer valuable insights into team dynamics and performance.
  • Strong knowledge of machine/application matching, production outputs, and Series 600 Specification for Highway Works.
  • Proficiency in implementing GPS machine guidance.
  • Sound understanding of quality requirements and adherence to ITPs and Hold Points.
