Blackwell Earthmoving is a specialist earthworks contractor with a 69-year heritage, delivering nationally significant infrastructure projects. This senior appointment will play a pivotal role in early client engagement, bid shaping, and strategic marketing.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone with deep infrastructure knowledge, technical credibility, and the ability to steer commercial and procurement thinking at a pre-construction level.
You’ll work closely with estimating, technical and operational teams to identify opportunities, influence scope, and position the business for work in excess of £25m. Your ability to shape bid strategy, lead feasibility discussions, and represent Blackwell Earthmoving’s technical capability will be critical. There is also opportunity to enhance the company’s presence through digital marketing, events, and thought leadership.
You’ll be based from the Essex HQ at least three days per week and operate as part of a high-trust, delivery-focused leadership team. Candidates should come from a specialist contracting background — infrastructure knowledge is essential, earthworks experience is highly desirable.
