The Plant & Labour Administrator is a newly created position supporting Blackwell Earthmoving’s Lower Thames Crossing project team. This role provides essential day-to-day administrative support, helping managers and the wider team with office coordination, personnel management, and project administration. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering the Company’s mission and upholding our values of being Responsible, Respectful, Relentless, and Resilient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage correspondence including emails, memos, and routine reports.
- Maintain organised filing systems on SharePoint and other platforms.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and general office logistics.
- Create and format documents as required.
- Greet visitors and offer general administrative support to the team.
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Handle queries from senior managers and complete data entry tasks.
- Ensure accurate storage of key documentation and support colleagues when needed.
Personnel & Compliance Coordination:
- Review candidates, arrange interviews, record competencies, and assess compliance with BEL standards.
- Issue contracts of employment and new starter documentation.
- Liaise with agencies to ensure labour provision meets site requirements.
- Arrange PPE and medicals for new applicants.
- Coordinate induction programmes for new starters.
- Maintain records in accordance with company standards.
- Assist in preparing regularly scheduled reports.
- Liaise with site teams and management to address queries or issues.
- Provide support to other team members as required.
- Undertake other tasks as requested by the line manager.

- Proven administrative experience, either in an office or virtual support role.
- Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent time‑management with the ability to prioritise effectively.
