We’re working with a fast-growing, PE-backed, tech business based in Reading to appoint a Finance Manager into a high-impact leadership role. This is a broad, hands-on position, that will take end to end responsibility for financial operations - ideal for a qualified accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys driving improvements, and wants to play a key role in a scaling business. You’ll have real visibility, influence, and the opportunity to shape processes as the company continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Management Reporting & Financial Control
- Own the preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, journals, and cashflow reporting
- Drive improvements across month-end processes and reporting accuracy
- Financial Accounting & Audit
- Lead the year-end audit process and act as the key contact for external auditors
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting
- Support corporation tax and R&D compliance activities while maintaining robust financial controls
- Transactional Finance
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, customer invoicing, and cash collections
- Manage bank reconciliations, cashflow inputs, and payroll coordination with the outsourced provider
- Team Leadership & Process Improvement
- Line manage and develop a small finance team within a collaborative, high-performing environment
- Partner closely with the Finance Director to improve finance processes, systems, and operational efficiency
About You
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Previous experience in a broad Finance Manager or similar role
- Confident owning finance processes end-to-end
- Strong management reporting and financial accounting experience
- Hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
- Experience within a growing or PE-backed environment is advantageous
Salary of £65,000 – £75,000 Hybrid working
